The new feature of Instagram will be helpful to easily understand posts written in foreign languages. Even if the post is not written in English language, then users may add texts to Instagram stories in any language, then translate it into any of the selected languages.
Now, Instagram has the ability to translate the text in Instagram stories into ninety different languages including Hindi. So, according to the new development, Instagram is going to add an option as “See translation” which is located on the top left of the post in stories, if it detects any new language. Users can simply tap on the option to translate the post.
While announcing this new feature, Instagram says, “When you’re watching a story with text, you’ll get a ‘See Translation’ notice, if your set language is different from the one in the story. Just tap it, and a translation will pop up.”
According to The Verge, the translation feature is limited only to Instagram Stories for now. Photo-Sharing is the only app that has the availability of the Translation option, but audio translation is not available till now. This new feature of Instagram is rolling out to users globally that is offering support for 90 languages including Hindi, Arabic, Japanese, Portuguese and others.
Recently, Instagram has announced about the ‘Sensitive Content Control’. This option lets its users control what is appearing on Instagram’s Explore Feeds. As per the announcement, Instagram wrote in a post, “Today we’re launching Sensitive Content Control on Instagram, which allows you to decide how much sensitive content shows up in Explore. We believe people should be able to shape Instagram into the experience that they want. We’ve started to move in this direction with tools like the ability to turn off comments or Restrict someone from interacting with you on Instagram.”
The new feature of Instagram gives more control to its users, as it helps them to see what is appearing on their Instagram feeds. Using this, they can limit the content type that they don’t like or want to hide from their Instagram Explore Feeds. In order to enable this feature, firstly, go to the user’s profile, then tap on the ‘Settings’ button located in the upper right corner. Then tap on the ‘Account’ tab, then click on ‘Sensitive Content Control’. Now, you can keep your setting in the default state, or limit it, or proceed to see more.
